View entertainment,Kolkata and Digital Brain, Kolkata in association with Furrfolks has come up with ‘Music Kennel’, a fund raiser initiative for supporting the stray animals, through a rhapsody of live musical performances for entertaining the quarantined fur lovers in the comfort of their homes.
Episodic Musical sessions crafted as per the need of the hour, entertainment that’s refreshing and is an escapade to the good old times while being stuck behind closed doors.
Dibyo Ghosh Dastidar, founder of View Entertainment believes that this is the most innovative way to be of any help to the stray and abandoned animals that are now in their worst affected state due to all the negligence during the Quarantine.
“Fundraising activities are going on everywhere at the moment, it’s how people are doing their bit to make the society function more sustainably but I somehow felt that in my city especially, almost everything was being taken care of except the stray animals and their state of pity, so I got in touch with the NGOs that were working for these animals and I thought together we could make a difference no matter how small.
The fundraiser event is a collaborative effort between an event management agency and an NGO to help combat an issue surrounding the helpless animals on streets, while simultaneously ensuring how people could save lives while simply getting their dose of musical entertainment. We won’t choose to compromise on the quality of our music, our artist line up is exactly in tune with what the audience would enjoy listening to the most, at the moment.”, Dibyo said.
It’s how the love for music and fur friends unite for a cause which is one of its kind in this city. “I am a dog lover myself and all of this pandemic situation had me worried for the animals left on the street devoid of any care and support from us humans, I and my friends tried to help a few but I am sure there are so many like us, who would love to be of some help to these animals but probably don’t know how, and I feel like this could be a collective effort on our part that will just help us fill our roles as responsible animal lovers,”Dibyo added.
The initiative will provide a platform for people to have access to live music sessions through a social media platform like Facebook while having the opportunity of being able to contribute to the cause of protection of stray animals.
