Music Kennel goes National
After a one month journey, Music Kennel came to an end on the evening of 14th June with a bang. The view entertainment came forward with their best faces to give their audience just the right amount of entertainment on a Sunday evening to their viewers.
The event started off with Siddharth Pathak from the band Wagah Road, the frontman of the band with his lively performance entertained the viewers with some beautiful medleys of some classic songs. On the initiative, he shared his thoughts, saying, “this is just the right kind of initiative, and more people need to come up and do the little that’s possible on their end.”
The performances went ahead with the nationally acclaimed Violin brothers who mesmerized the audience with their beautiful duet on their violins. They performed some beautiful piece in tribute to those who have lost their lives in this pandemic phase, followed by playing the evergreen theme song of Feluda.
Next up was the beautiful Nikhita Gandhi with her wonderful voice. She started off her performance in tribute to Sushant Singh Rajput, due to his news of sudden demise on Sunday afternoon, which shook the nation in a way. She performed a few more of her songs, which have been viral over time. The viewers were so glad to see her performing live, they did not want to let her go off. Her performance was followed by a candid conversation where she shared, “Having a pet at home keeps you occupied, and they are thereby you at all situation, the initiative talks about how these voiceless creatures need care, and I am more than happy to come on board to be a part of this.”
Keeping up to the promise of letting the viewers enjoy a power-packed performance, the next artist on Sunday’s lineup was Gaurab Chatterjee also know as Gaboo from the band Lakkhichara, he is known for his unconventional approach to drums and ethno-drums, he put forward an energy-filled performance with his Dubki and made the viewers groove to the beats. He said, “this initiative is huge, whatever is happening should keep happening for the help of these little ones who cannot speak for themselves, they need an equal amount of love and care as the ones who are at your homes.”
On the ending note, Cizzy, Kolkata’s favorite Bengali Rapper, who is known to be the co-founder of Cypher Projekt, which helped share the hip-hop scene in West Bengal, was on the screen creating a whole different vibe for the audience. Cizzy kept the audience all grabbed on the screens where he performed some of his popular rap pieces like Kolkata and Beat Dhongsho.
Dibyo Ghosh Dastidar, the founder of View Entertainment said, “The journey of Music Kennel started with the idea of hosting live music sessions with one artist each day, from there, by the end of the tenth episode we had more than 30 artists on board with us who had come forward and helped us give magnitude to this initiative. The team is more than thankful to all the artists for standing by viewers and us for being constant support on the same; the journey was beautiful, Furrfolks was doing a great job we are more than happy for being able to do our bit”.
